Old treasures have stories. We believe their descriptions should tell the truth.

MnJ Thrifts offers vintage, antique, previously owned, and collectible merchandise. Some items are new or unused and will be identified accordingly.

Condition Standards

Previously owned items may exhibit normal age-related characteristics, including scratches, patina, tarnish, discoloration, surface wear, packaging deterioration, and manufacturing variations.

We make reasonable efforts to photograph and disclose material defects.

Descriptive Condition Categories

When used in a listing, our condition descriptions generally mean:

• New / Unused: No known previous use; packaging may still show wear.
• Excellent Vintage: Very well-preserved with minimal visible wear.
• Good Vintage: Light to moderate age-related wear.
• Fair Vintage: Noticeable wear, cosmetic defects, or restoration needs.
• For Parts / Repair: Incomplete, defective, nonfunctional, or requiring restoration as disclosed.

Individual item descriptions take precedence over general condition categories.

Jewelry and Precious Metals

We distinguish between appearance-based descriptions, markings, and verified material composition.

Terms such as gold-tone or silver-tone describe appearance rather than guaranteeing precious-metal content.

A stamped hallmark may be reported, but a hallmark alone is not independent proof of purity or authenticity.

We will identify precious metals and gemstones using appropriate supporting information and will disclose uncertainty rather than present speculation as fact.

Manufacturer, Age, and Provenance

Manufacturer identification, dates, and origins may be based on labels, markings, design characteristics, research, or documented history.

Unverified information will be described as estimated or attributed when appropriate.

Testing and Functionality

An item will be described as tested only when an applicable test has actually been performed.

Functional or mechanical items may have limitations disclosed in their individual listings.

Photographs and Measurements

Please review all photographs and listed measurements carefully.

Color appearance may vary because of lighting and display settings.
